1. Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

• Account information — email address and password (hashed) when you create an account, or your Google profile information if you sign in with Google.
• Health data — health concerns, test results, vaccination records, supplement details, and medical scan images you choose to upload.
• Camera and photos — images captured via your device camera or selected from your photo library for the Skin Scanner and Scans features. These images are processed by our AI and stored securely in the cloud.
• Device information — push notification tokens to deliver notifications to your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered health analysis (skin assessments, scan analysis, test result interpretation, differential diagnoses).
• To store and display your personal health records within the App.
• To authenticate your account and maintain session security.
• To send push notifications you have opted in to receive.

3. AI-Generated Content

PocDoc uses artificial intelligence to provide health-related information. All AI outputs are for educational and informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Your data is stored on secure cloud servers with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
• Uploaded files (images, documents) are stored in Amazon S3 with access controls.
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text.
• Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-native secure storage.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal or health data with third parties, except:

• With AI service providers (Abacus AI) to process your health queries and image analyses. Data sent to AI providers is used solely to generate responses and is not retained by them for training purposes.
• With cloud infrastructure providers (AWS) for secure data storage.
• When required by law or to protect our legal rights.

6. Camera Permission

The App requests camera access to allow you to photograph skin concerns (Skin Scanner) and medical scans. Camera access is used only when you explicitly initiate a photo capture. We do not access your camera in the background.

7. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Access, update, or delete your health records within the App.
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us.
• Revoke camera or notification permissions through your device settings.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data and health records within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

9. Children's Privacy

PocDoc is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by updating the “Last updated” date above.
